It is our mission to promote the common business interests of those engaged in the surface finishing industry in the tristate New York, New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut area. The MAMF represents the business, technical, scientific, and educational interests of the industry as well as the advocacy efforts of the surface technology community. Our goals include maintaining a strong membership with opportunities for education, advocacy, and networking.

Member Eligibility

Companies directly and indirectly related to the business of surface finishing and its supply chain are invited to join MAMF.  This includes, but is not limited to: Job Shops – Suppliers, Consultants and Distributors to the industry, Captive Shops, OEM’s9*

Training & Education

As an affiliate member of the NASF, MAMF member companies and their employees can receive up to 35% off registration rates on training provided by NASF’s educational foundation, the AESF.  These “gold standard” programs are offered in multiple ways:  Classroom, Web-Based, Home Study and Custom Courses.   For industry certifications, from basic Certified Electroplater Finisher (CEF) to Certified Aerospace Finisher (CAF) and Master Surface Finisher (MSF)

Additionally, members have access to annual training programs such as RCRA “Train the Trainer” and forklift training to just mention a few.

Opportunities to Engage

• Informative Meetings including educational speakers. Some of the featured speakers include local representatives from such organizations as OSHA, EPA, DEQ, elected officials, and more
• Occasions to network and engage with fellow industry members at meetings and special events.

Dues Structure

Masters’ Association of Metal Finishers, a Chapter of the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF), is a trade organization with only corporate memberships available. This full membership entitles the member companies to membership in NASF.

• Metal Finishing Job or Captive Shop dues: $2,140/year ($1,200 NASF dues + $1,140 MAMF)
• Metal Finishing Supplier dues: $1,200 or more (depending on sales)
  If NASF “National dues” is paid through a different location, such as corporate headquarters, the MAMF “Supplier local dues only” applies at $1,140.
• Small Corporate dues: $1,490/year ($650 NASF dues + $1,140 MAMF)*
  *Available for companies with less than $1 million in sales, less than six employees and not a member in NASF for the past five years.
