NASF Cancels Sur/Fin
NASF Plans for SUR/FIN 2020 and 2021
The mission of the NASF is to advance a sustainable future for the surface finishing industry. Part of that mission is our commitment to the welfare of our members and those serving or connected with the industry.
It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 NASF SUR/FIN conference in Atlanta due to the impact of COVID-19 developments. Since March, the NASF has been in continued negotiations with the Georgia World Congress Center and the Omni Atlanta hotel to reschedule the event.
Given the uncertainty associated with the virus spread through the summer and fall and the general economic outlook, we believe cancellation for this year to be the most responsible decision and in the best interest of our exhibitors, presenters, partners and attendees. We are disappointed, and regret the inconvenience to all participants and allied organizations from North America and across the globe who are committed to NASF SUR/FIN every year.
Please know that the association has not undertaken this decision lightly, as the loss of revenue from NASF SUR/FIN this year will have a significant impact on the association.
Please save the date for next year’s program and event for July 13-15, 2021 in Detroit, MI. We have also been reviewing ways to provide virtual educational content during 2020, and will keep you posted.
We sincerely thank you for being a part of and supporting the NASF and the AESF Foundation. We look forward to working with you to make 2020 and 2021 a success.
